Estimated reading: 1 minute 612 views

Installing CertMS on VMWare is a very easy process with the provided image from CertMS. If you have not already contacted our Sales team to get a free 30 day trial please do so.

Once you are provided with a ZIP file for CertMS on VMWare extract the contents to a local folder. The ZIP file should contain 3 files:

  1. CertMS-VMDK.ovf
  2. CertMS-VMDK-X.vmdk
  3. Installation.pdf

Log into your VMWare environment, I am using ESXi and Choose “Create / Register VM” under the Virtual Machines section.

Choose “Deploy a virtual machine from an OVF or OVA file” and click “Next”

Name your CertMS appliance what ever you like. We recommend “CertMS” so it is easy to find. Then drag the CertMS VMDK and OVF files over and click “Next”.

Choose the Datastore where you would like CertMS to live.

Set your network mappings and verify Thin or Thick provisioning for your Appliance. Whether you choose thick or thin provisioning there should be no difference in performance of CertMS.

Verify all your settings and choose “Finish” and let CertMS deploy.

Now you should be able to access your new CertMS Appliance
